Flora Mendoza Qualls

was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 14, 1960 the daughter of the late Henry T. and Mavis J. Hermanson Mendoza.

On July 31, 1982 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Bobby William Qualls, Sr., who preceded his wife in death on December 1, 2020.

Flora worked as a CNA and Activity Director for Savannah Health Care Center for 23 years. She was very proud of her job and she received the Star Award. Flora was also a member Hardin County Chamber of Commerce.

Flora would always tell you that she was a Child of Christ and was blessed beyond all her dreams. She had the best family and friends and a rewarding career. Flora said she was truly blessed every day of her life and when asked how she can smile always, she would reply, “I know my Savior lives in me and my smile is how I share my love and Him.”

She departed this life on Thursday, August 20, 2026 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 66 years and 6 days.

Flora is survived by her children, Bobby W. Qualls, Jr., Kevin Qualls, Merzades N. Salgado, Nisha Ross and Deborah Hartley, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Ethan, Gracie, Colby, Brie, Reya, Lilly, Danny, and Maya; sisters, Judy Gonzalez, Terri Larimer, Linda Mendoza, Cindy Mendoza; and brothers, Bob Mendoza, Richard Mendoza, and Michael Mendoza.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Patty Gomez and Anita Northcutt; one brother, Danny Mendoza; nephew, Ian Mendoza; and grandmother, Emma Hermanson.
