George Robert Ray passed away on August 17th, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Sarah Ray, and his grandparents, James and Vera Bagwell, Elizabeth McAlister and George Walker Ray.
Robert is survived by his wife, Dianne Ray; three daughters, Brooke Carbone, Amy and Rusty Bonds, and Leigh Ray; one stepson and two stepdaughters, William Curry IV, Jamie Evans, Jeni and Chad Miller; eight grandsons, Bryer Moore, Corbin Carbone, Kyle Carbone, Chase Bonds, Heath Miller, Maxx Curry, Cy Evans, and Grey Evans; and three granddaughters, Winter Curry, Kaya Evans, and Annesly Miller. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Angela Ray. He also leaves behind several cousins, nieces and nephews across South Carolina and Georgia.
Last but certainly not least, Robert leaves behind his beloved furbabies, Skippy, Bella, and Lilli.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Guntersville Recreation Center on September 19th, 2026 from 1:00–3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Robert’s memory.
