MADISON COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is asking for help in identifying a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident. The vehicle struck a juvenile and left the scene of the accident:
“A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 4:10 a.m. Thursday, August 13, has claimed the life of a Huntsville Juvenile.
The pedestrian, a 16-year-old, who was walking in the roadway, was fatally injured after being struck by what is believed to be a black Toyota 4Runner. The 16-year-old teen was pronounced deceased at the scene. After striking the teen, the 4Runner left the scene and the driver of the 4Runner is currently unknown at this time.
The crash occurred on Capshaw Road near the Rustic Cedar Lane, approximately one mile north of Huntsville, in Madison County.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are asking the public for assistance with identifying/locating the vehicle. Photos of the vehicle believed to be involved in the crash are attached, again the vehicle is believed to be a 2003 to possible 2009 Toyota 4Runner black in color.
