Elmer Eyvon Holden, age 91, of Tuscumbia, passed away on August 7, 2026. The visitation will be 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2026, at Parkview Baptist Church. The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. with Casey Hagle and Alan Bragwell officiating the service. The burial will be at Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Holden attended Russellville High School and graduated in the class of 1953. He was a member of the track team and the Marching Band. He loved golf and Alabama football. He was a member of Shoals Praise and Worship Choir. He taught music and led music at various churches. He loved the Lord and always wanted to share God’s love with others.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Lee Holden; children, Mashea Holden Maples (Jim), Darryl Holden (Misty), Brian Holden (Suzanne); grandchildren, Jessica Flanagan (Nick), Lauren Herring (Casey), Tanner Maples (Caitlin)_, Linsey Austin (Shaquawn), Brooks Holden (Catherine), Tyler Holden (Madison), Anna Holden, Olivia Hamilton (Caleb), Zoe Holden, Zeke Holden, Lilli Holden; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Tanner Maples, Brooks Holden, Tyler Holden, Zeke Holden, Caleb Hamilton, Casey Herring, Shaquawn Austin, and Nick Flangan.
