Virginia Gail Callis, age 75 of Lafayette, TN passed away August 4, 2026. She was born in White House, TN to the late Hardy and Lola Morgan.
Virginia will be remembered as a compassionate, selfless, and loving mother and granny who always put the needs of others before her own. Her greatest joy in life was caring for her family and spending time with those she loved. She was proud of her work in home healthcare, where she dedicated herself to helping and caring for others with kindness and compassion. The same servant’s heart she showed in her career was reflected in the way she lived her life each day.
She is survived by her son, Rodney (Kim) McCormick; grandchildren, Sharon McCormick, Danelle (Nick) Hall, Jennifer Jamison and numerous others; great grandchildren, Emma Woods, Kainon, Kyra, and King James Hall, Hunter Mcalpin; brother, Andrew Richard “Billy” (Eloise) Morgan; sister, Teresa Gail Wright; sister-in-law, Martha Morgan; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her spouse, John Clark; daughter, Regina Gail Jamison; siblings, Virgil Lee (Louise) Morgan, Mary Elizabeth Morgan, Edna Louise (Potsie) Huff, William Edward Jay (Martha) Morgan, Johnnie Eugene (June) Morgan, Shirley Ann Morgan and Betty Jean (JC) Keene.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens.
