Geraldine Willie Hartselle, age 94, of Decatur, AL, passed away on August X, 2026. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Oda Butler Hartselle and Ester Miller Hartselle; two sisters, Johnnie B. Maner (Omer) and Helen Marie Hartselle; and one brother, Robert A. Hartselle (Jane). Geraldine is survived by cousins, Virginia Miller, Hoover, AL and Sherry Huddleston, Monticello, IL, and the many friends she made throughout her life’s journey. She adored her companion chihuahuas, Rhett, Mike, and Millie.
Geraldine graduated from Decatur High School and attended Anderson College in Anderson, IN. She retired from AT&T, where she served as a telephone operator in the Decatur office. She taught Sunday School and was an active member of her church. Geraldine enjoyed traveling and was proud of hiking in and out of the Grand Canyon and riding a camel in Egypt.
A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery, on August 7, 2026 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community South Church of God, 4011 Spring Ave., Decatur, AL 35603.
