Mr. Milton “Coach” Franklin, 98, of Sheffield, Alabama, transitioned on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at his residence.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Thompson and Son Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mr. Franklin will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2026, Sheffield High School Gymnasium, Sheffield, Alabama. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens, Tuscumbia, Alabama. Mr. Franklin will be placed in the gymnasium one hour prior to the service. The public viewing will be Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
