Barbara Ann Steed, 85, passed away after a long illness on August 4, 2026.She was born on August 31, 1940 and was a lifelong resident of Jackson, Tennessee. For the majority of her life, she was a member of the Madison Hall community and Madison Baptist Church. She spent her last years in Northbrooke Health and Rehabilitation.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Willis Henry Steed; her sisters, Mary Margaret Couples, Fonda Steed Jetton; her brothers, Willis Cecil Steed, William Robert Steed, Delbert Kenneth Steed, and Richard Herron Steed.
She is survived by her sisters, Onedda Gregory, Judy Steed Ranne, Bonnie B. Steed, and Rose Gail McCaferty, and her brother Paul, Henry Steed.
A visitation for family and close friends will be held at the North Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons on Monday, August 10, 2026 beginning at 11:45 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 pm at Highland Memorial Gardens.
Barbara was a Christian and devoted to her family. She will be missed.
