Sharron Kay Rickman, born Sharron Kay Moore on February 27, 1954, in Hardeman County, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, in Medon, Tennessee. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend whose vibrant spirit and love for life touched all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Sharron was the cherished daughter of James Richard Moore and Luerene Smith Moore, both of whom preceded her in death. Throughout her life, the values of kindness and dedication instilled by her parents remained guiding principles by which she lived every day.
A loving mother, Sharron’s legacy flourishes in her daughter Kimberly Hock (Ryan), Christie Hill (Jamie)-who is a niece but considered a daughter, Donnie Spence (stepson) Stacy, and Johnny Rickman (stepson) Tina. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Kennedy Kee, Lane Brown, Jaxon Hock, Henry Hock, and Karlee Hill. The enduring closeness and affection she shared with her family was evident in every aspect of her life. Her daughter Amy Hill sadly preceded her in death, a heartbreak Sharron bore with grace, always honoring Amy’s memory and spirit.
Sharron’s innate warmth extended to her siblings, Kathy Sipes (Clifford), Jane Castleberry (Jerry), J.D. Moore (Faye), and Paul Moore (Becky), She also maintained special bonds with her sisters, Gaylon Moore and Yevonne Moore, both of whom predeceased her. The sibling camaraderie and lifelong friendship she nurtured reflected her empathetic and generous soul.
Marriage brought Sharron profound joy and companionship with her beloved husband, John Wayne (Bill) Rickman. Their journey together left an indelible mark on her heart, and she treasured each moment spent by his side until his passing.
Professionally, Sharron dedicated herself as a Security Guard with MaxGuard, from which she retired. Her commitment to her work was ever-present, marked by reliability and a steadfastness that inspired colleagues and friends alike.
Beyond her career, Sharron’s heart was at home with the simple pleasures and joys she found in everyday life. A devoted woman of faith, she cherished going to church and drew comfort and community from her spiritual life. She loved spending time watching television, particularly enjoying quiet moments shared with family. Creative at heart, Sharron delighted in making crafts and designing Christmas lights, filling her home with beauty and light, especially during the holidays. She was known for her long, meaningful phone conversations with family and friends, always nurturing connections regardless of distance. Her adventurous spirit also led her to travel, embracing new experiences and memories along the way.
Those who knew Sharron will remember her not only for the kindness she offered so freely but also for her strength and resilience in facing life’s challenges. Her wisdom, infectious laughter, and ability to make everyone feel valued will remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate the life of Sharron Kay Rickman will be held on August 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Shandy Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 20450 Highway 18 North, Bolivar, TN 38008. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and gratitude for a life so beautifully lived.
