Mr. Danny Gene Shelton, age 78, of Cragford passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 Albertville, AL. He was born in Indiana and grew up in a family of all boys. He joined the Navy right after high school and served four years. He was a diesel mechanic most of his working life.
He is survived by his brothers, David (Debra) Shelton, Dale (Roxy) Shelton and Steven Brian (Marisela) Shelton; grand-daughter, Arwen Marie Shelton; sister-in-law, Vickie Shearon; several nieces and nephews and other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas Eugene Shelton and Alice Juanita Crouch Shelton; his wife Debbie Shelton and son, Danny Gene Shelton, Jr.
The family will plan a memorial service in Indiana at a later date.
