Brian Scottie Hargett, 56, passed away Friday, July 31, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center–Tupelo. He was born in Russellville, AL to Oscar Clay and Shirley Adell Welch Hargett. He was a truck driver for over twenty years.
Funeral service will be Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay, AL, with Bro. Colby Cook officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL, will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by a host of family and friends.
