Emily Ann Swindall, 38, of Fort Payne, Alabama, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2026. Born on September 7, 1987, she was the cherished daughter of Sharon Miller and Jerry Swindall.
To know her was to love her. She had a one-of-a-kind personality that could brighten any room the moment she walked in. She was wonderfully goofy, always ready to laugh, and never took life too seriously. She had a funny habit of peeking into just about any dumpster she passed, always curious as to what she might find. Those who loved her will smile every time they remember that little quirk.
She and her siblings shared the kind of love that came with teasing, arguments, laughter, and unwavering loyalty – a true love-hate relationship that only brothers and sisters understand. No matter what, the bond they shared was one that could never be broken.
Her laughter, her silly sense of humor, and the happiness she brought to those around her will never be forgotten. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we are grateful for every memory, every laugh, and every moment we were blessed to share with her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

She is survived by her loving parents Sharon Miller and Jerry Swindall; children Elizabeth Marie Jeffery, Christopher Michael Swindall, and Lindsey Michelle Rochon; brothers Christopher Campbell and Hunter Drayton Miller; sister Kelly Kelley; and a grandbaby on the way in February 2027. She also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends who will forever hold her memory close. She was preceded in death by all of her grandparents.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home in Fort Payne with burial following in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Steele, Alabama. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
