Laura Mae Letson, 81, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on July 28, 2026. Born March 3, 1945, in Huntsville, she was the daughter of Hershel Holladay and mother McGee.Mae was known for being kind and generous, but she could also be a pistol when she was mad. She enjoyed planting flowers, thrifting, fishing, scrolling Facebook, and filling every corner of a house. Whether standing by the door or waiting in the driveway, you could always count on her to watch you leave.
She spent 56 years married to her husband, Stanley Letson She is survived by Otis Holladay, Stanley Ray Letson, Susan Edger and husband Roland, Sandie Letson, Stacie Seymour, and Kathy Letson. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Justin Nuby (children Jaxon and Jordan), Nikki Letson (children Kailey, Ava, Ella, and Brett Bruder), Jason Letson, Madisyn Cave and husband Jordan (children Tatum, Huntley, and Camden), Autumn Letson, Brinlee Edger, and Preston Sheppard and wife Marlee (Daughter Miriam).
She leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
