Bill Arlander Murray, 79, of Florence, AL passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 3 pm in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Blake Berry will be officiating.
Bill retired from 477 Ironworkers Local after 44 years of loyal service and was in the “115th Signal Battalion” and “Alabama Army National Guard”. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 503 (Sheffield, AL) and Scottish Rite (Birmingham).
He was preceded in death by his father, James Arlander Murray; mother, Selena Mae Peebles; wife, Patricia Murray; and daughter, Teresa Murray; brother, Kenny Murray.
Bill is survived by his son, Tony Murray of Muscle Shoals; brothers, Lowell Glynn Murray (Susan) of Cleveland, TN, Joel Lynn Murray (Irene) of Leighton, AL, and Carolyn Murray Daniels (Eddie) of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, Brandon Murray (Emmy) of Florence, AL, Tyler Oldham of Florence, AL, and Corey Grimes of St. Augustine, FL; great grandchildren, Tanner Murray, Braelee Murray, Ethan Murray, Ray Riddle, and Nora McCormack.
