Barbara Ann JarrettBarbara Ann Jarrett, age 80, of Athens, Alabama, passed away on July 25th, 2026. She was born on April 5th, 1946, in Pulaski, Tennessee, to Rufus Dunnavant and Virginia Thomas Martin.

Mrs. Jarrett was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful member of Sardis Springs Baptist Church. She cherished her family and found great joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her kind spirit, strong faith, and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Marshall (David) and Brenda Jackson (Phil); sons, Tony Jarrett (Kristi), James Woody Jarrett, and Travis Jarrett; sisters, Dot Calder (Frank) and Carolyn Cowan; brothers, Aaron Dunnavant (Lisa) and Roger Dunnavant (Sue); 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous extended family members and friends.
Mrs. Jarrett was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Roy Jarrett; her parents, Rufus Dunnavant and Virginia Martin; sisters, Joyce Spurgeon and Francis Guffy; and brothers, Charles Dunnavant and Doug Dunnavant.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 28th, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 29th, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with burial to follow at Sardis Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Moses, Matthew Jarrett, Landon Jarrett, David Marshall, Zach Luna, Chuck Blanut, and Justin Jarrett.

Barbara’s legacy of love, faith, and devotion to her family will remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
