Teddy "Ted" Mack EdgeTeddy “Ted” Mack Edge of Ardmore, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the age of 82.

Ted was born on Monday, May 15, 1944. He spent half his life in the Ardmore community and was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church as well as a deacon for the church. He was a proud member of the Gideons and spent his free time piddling around town, working around his land, and never meeting a stranger.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernice Alva Edge and Nettie Jim Frazier Edge, one sister, Jeannette Threatt, as well as his parents-in-law, Bob and Ethel Kyle.

Ted is survived by his wife of 58 years, Amelia “Amy” Edge, one son, Andrew Edge, one daughter, Stephanie McCrary, one brother, Kenny Edge, as well as three grandchildren: Bailey Claunch, Cory Claunch, Kacie Claunch.

There will be a visitation held for Mr. Edge at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama, on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A chapel service is scheduled immediately after visitation with service time beginning at 3:00 PM. The family has made plans for a private burial for Mr. Edge at a later date. Bro Adam Mikel will officiate the service.

Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
