Della Joyce Johnson, 79, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born November 8, 1946, to Rodney and Dessie Morrow Richardson. She was a seamstress at Hickory Hill and at Itawamba Manufacturing Company and she also sewed for the public. She was a member of the Pine Grove Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing, flower gardening, working in the yard, and her goldfish garden pond. She enjoyed making homemade rag dolls and she especially loved her poodle, Sam.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 1, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Minister Jeff Bates officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Ken Johnson (Michelle); two daughters, Carol Tucker (Freddy) and Penny Parmer (Tim), all of Fulton; one brother, David Richardson (Lataine) of Tupelo; one sister, Betty Turman of Magnolia, TX; four grandchildren, Zack Tucker, Courtney Prather (Nate), Gracie Johnson, and Landon Johnson; two great grandchildren, Anna James Prather and Henry Allen Prather.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kendell Johnson; an infant son; one brother, Charles Richardson; and her parents.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home.
