Brenda Lurene Pettus, 77, of St. Joseph, TN, passed away July 27, 2026, at St. Thomas Hospital. She was a seamstress for many years, a self-employed cosmetologist and of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include: Son: Edward Pettus Daughters: Sonya Butler (Kevin), Kaye Lynn Byrd (Brian) & Teresa Uselton (Terry) Brother: O.L. Butler Sister: Patricia Newton (Alfred) (6) Grandchildren; (9) great grandchildren Preceded in death by: Husband: Ed Pettus Parents: Otis Leo Butler & Vera Mae Richardson Butler Son: Joe Cox, Jr. Brother: Freddy Butler Visitation will be Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 10:00 – 11:00am, at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00am, in the funeral home chapel, with Brant Butler officiating. Burial will be at Pettus Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Joshua Butler, Jordan Butler, Brian Byrd, Kevin Butler, Edward Pettus & Blake Williams.
