Funeral service for Bobbie Jo Campbell Johnson, age 85, of Taft, TN, will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Brock Neubauer officiating. Burial will follow in the Blanche Cemetery. Visitation with family and friends will be from 11 AM until the time of service on Thursday at Higgins Funeral Home.
Bobbie, born March 6, 1941, in New Market, AL, to Ellis Mack and Ruth Valentine Howard Campbell, passed away at her residence on July 26, 2026. A Buckhorn High School graduate, Bobbie served alongside her husband in his ministry work at Wells Hill and Mimosa and was a pillar in her faith communities at Wells Hill, Mimosa, and Taft Churches of Christ. She enjoyed cooking, scenic drives through the hills of Tennessee, fellowship after Sunday services, and a cold Pepsi.
Survivors include her son, Ricky Johnson; daughter, Kelly (Bri) Geiger; grandchildren, Lillie (Mason) Whitaker, Lora Clements, Mia Clements, Michael Clements, and Ellis Geiger; niece, Sharon (Berry) Pitts; and nephews, James Laster, and Roger Laster. In addition to her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Gilbert Johnson; son, Michael Johnson; and her sister, Virginia “Jean” Laster.
