Mrs. Shirley Ann Morgan, age 90, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 23, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 1, 1935.
Shirley was a devoted Christian lady whose faith in the Lord was the foundation of her life. She was a true prayer warrior who faithfully turned to God in every season, often praying for Him to give her the strength she needed, knowing she could not make it through life without Him. Her unwavering trust in the Lord was an inspiration to her family and friends and was reflected in the love, kindness, and generosity she showed to everyone she met.
She was a woman of grace, warmth, and compassion whose heart touched the lives of so many. Shirley treasured her family above all else and was known as a classy lady with a welcoming spirit and countless friends. She enjoyed collecting beautiful treasures throughout her life and spent many enjoyable years as a member of a bowling league, creating lasting friendships and memories along the way. Her gentle nature, generous heart, and steadfast faith will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Drue Morgan; her parents, Dennis and Beatrice Wright; and her grandson, Joshua Drue Morgan, brother Jim Wright, daughter-in-law Paula Rollings.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Cindy (Ric) Jones; her sons, Jody Drue Morgan and Mitchell Dewayne Morgan; her grandchildren, BJ (Rachel) Jones, Brooke (Chace) Walker, Taylor (Brian) Gray, Corey Morgan, and Danielle Morgan; along with a host of treasured great-grandchildren, brother John Wright, Richard Wright, extended family members, and dear friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 27, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Marshall Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be BJ Jones, Chace Walker, Jaxon Jones, Kai Walker, Tristan Morgan, Mike Bobo, and Honorary Pallbearer Corey Morgan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice or to the charity of your choice.
