Roy Lee Hicks, age 83 of Lynn, Alabama passed away July 22, 2026. He retired from the Coal Mining Industry, and attended Concord Baptist Church, Natural Bridge, AL.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 26, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, AL. Funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m. with Bro. Shawn Blanton officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Carson May, Dylan Burleson, Daniel Burleson, Brent May, Keith Riddle, Brad Hardin, Tony Galloway, Austin Galloway, Michael Hicks and Roger Tittle.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Hicks; daughters, Kris (Steve) Burleson and Leigh Ann (Brent) May;
1 brother and 3 sisters, Leon (Barbara) Hicks, Dean (Junior) Pike, Brenda (Don) Weaver and Mary (Phillip) Taylor; grandchildren, Dylan (Sydney) Burleson, Daniel (Madison) Burleson, Carson May (Emma Smith) and Chloe May; great grandchildren, Charlee Burleson and Knox Burleson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Odis and Nerva Hicks; brothers, Lacy Hicks, Charles Hicks and Larry Hicks; sisters, Eutrella Webb and Dorothy Timmons.
