Logo IconTerry Kirk Skelton was born April 30, 1964 in Waynesboro, TN to the union of the late Virgil Kirk and Jo Evelyn Bates Skelton. He worked at Lincoln Brass for 32 years and then worked 8 years with Ryder as a forklift operator. He was a member of the UAW local 1853 in Spring Hill, TN. When he was not working, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially enjoying hunting and fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Skelton departed this life on Thursday, July 23, 2026 in Florence, AL making his stay in this life some 62 years, 2 months, and 23 days

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Martha Carol Robertson Skelton; two sons, Josh Pope and wife Naomi both of Collinwood, TN; Drake Hamaker of Iron City, TN; three siblings, Celena Spiva and husband Philip of Clarksville, TN; Bart Skelton and wife Jennifer of Fairview, TN; Monica Wells and husband John of Columbia, TN; two grandchildren, Macayla Brewster; Frances Brewster; a grandchild of the heart, Preston Bryant; one great grandchild, Marlee Daniel he is also survived by his father-in-law, JB Robertson

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Mary Lee Robertson

Visitation with the Skelton Family will be on Sunday, July 26, 2026 from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation Chapel

Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at Bates-Love Funeral and Cremation Chapel Interment will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery
