Phyllis Nichols, 83, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born February 13, 1943, to the late Flaud Ferguson and the late Maxine Bramlett Oaks. She was member of First Baptist Church Mantachie, and the Pilot Club. She was the secretary at L&N Pest Control for over 30 years, before retiring in 2015. Phyllis enjoyed painting, traveling, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Private graveside services were held at 10:00 am on Wednesday July 22, 2026, at Oak Grove Cemetery with Dr. John Adams officiating.

Senter Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Frank Nichols of Mantachie; sons, Derek (Trinity) Nichols of Mantachie, and Kelvin (Melissa Dodson) Nichols of Tupelo; and her Granddaughters, Kayla Nichols, Addison Nichols, and Lilly Nichols.

She was preceded in death by her parents Flaud Ferguson, and Maxine Oaks.

Pallbearers were Derek Nichols, Kelvin Nichols, Adyn McKinney, Trey Adams, Derrick Hughes, and Mitchell Smith.
