It is with profound sadness and much love that we mourn the passing of Sonjia Fetter Jackson, of Athens, AL, who passed away at the age of 67 on July 17, 2026.
Born on March 4, 1959, in Athens, AL, she was the cherished daughter of George and Ann Fetter. She lived a beautiful life defined by her fondness for cooking for family and friends, her love of finding antiques, and her passion for sitting on the front porch drinking coffee.
She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her son, Gregory Lance Jackson and daughter-in-law Crystal, her grandchildren, and her brother George Michael Fetter. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gregory Lavon Jackson.
A graveside service will be held at Limestone Memorial Gardens on July 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
