Anthony “Tony” Chittam, age 66, passed away on July 17, 2026, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.Born on August 1, 1959, to Ronald Cortez Chittam and Eliza Cathrion King, Tony was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and the many lives he touched throughout his years.
Tony is survived by his daughter, Brooke Chittam (Adrianna); his son, Brock Chittam (Molly); and his beloved grandchildren, Alyssa, Levi, Paislynn, and Myah. He is also survived by his sisters, Sandra Looney and Wanda Johnson (Jim Paul); nephews, Greg Looney (Lisa) and Chris Looney; brother-in-law, Jerry Adams (Vanessa); as well as aunts, great-nieces, great-nephews, a host of cousins, and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Cortez Chittam and Eliza Cathrion King; his sister, Vicki Adams; and his brother-in-law, Jimmy Looney.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with burial at Roselawn Cemetery.
Tony’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His family finds comfort in the legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories he leaves behind.
