Jon Edward Denney, age 58, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026. He was born on August 22, 1967.
Jon was a dedicated car salesman who never met a stranger. He built lasting friendships throughout his career and was well respected throughout his community. He was an outstanding athlete at Albertville High School, Known for his generous heart, Jon was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He genuinely wanted those around him to succeed and was always willing to encourage, support, and lend a helping hand.
A devoted Alabama Crimson Tide fan, Jon rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his team. More than anything, he loved his family and treasured the time spent with those closest to him. His loyalty to his friends, his compassion for others, and his larger-than-life personality will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his sons, Jon Colton Denney and Eli James Denney; his brother, Jared Denney; and a host of other family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jon and Gilda Denney Sr.
Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Nixon, George Williams, Rodney Peppers, David Ferguson, Mike “Moose” Morrison, and Destry Craft.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home with Brother Lonnie Craft officiating. Mr. Denney will lie in state from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour. Burial will follow at Marshall Memorial Gardens.
