Sharon Rae Hodgman Julien, 88 of Hazel Green, Alabama, was born on October 18, 1937 in Minnesota and passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home on July 18, 2026.
She married the love of her life Glen Eugene Julien at just 18 years old in 1955, and together they shared 70 years of marriage. Their life was built on loyalty, hard work, and the kind of partnership that shaped generations.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Julien; her parents, Kenneth and Alli Tuomala Hodgman; her brother, Randy Hodgman. Mother and father-in-law, Elmer and Julia Olsen Julien; her brother-in-laws, Roger and Dwayne; and sister-in-laws, Eunice and Ann.
She is survived by her son, Gene Julien (Kim); and her daughter, Kim Madewell (Rickey). She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Stephanie Roncone (John Wallace), Chelsea Madewell (Jesse Melton), Adam Taylor (Shannon), Lucas Madewell, Jesse Julien (Kayla), Brittany Thompson, Crystal Dixon (Daniel).
Sharon was blessed with many great grandchildren, Colton (Taylor), Christian, Cameron, Anniston, Cali, Georgia, Peyton, CJ, Scotty, Olivia, Paisley, and Lincoln, as well as one great‑great‑granddaughter, Linley Roncone.
A gifted seamstress and master crafter, she had a talent for turning simple materials into treasured keepsakes and beautiful decorations. She will be remembered for her strong spirit and her devotion to her family.
Above all, Sharon was a loving wife, sister, mother, and “Gramma.” Her presence will be deeply missed, and her memory will remain a blessing to all who loved her.
