Sherry Lee Trusty, age 71, of Kingston Springs, TN went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 17, 2026, after a long and courageous health journey. She was surrounded by the love of her family and left this world knowing the deep love of her devoted husband, David, and the even greater love of her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Sherry was the beloved wife of David Ray Trusty. Together they shared 34 wonderful years together, building a home filled with love, laughter, grace, and unwavering commitment to one another.
She was a proud and devoted mother to John Minon Jr. (Marsha), Aaron Minon, Christina Meadows, Jason Trusty (Wendi), and Brandon Trusty. She was a deeply loved grandmother to Jacob Minon (Jessi), Dalton Minon, Michael Meadows, Matthew Meadows, Nicholas Trusty, Benjamin Trusty, Adam Trusty, Maddox Trusty, and Asher Trusty. Her greatest joy was her family, and she poured herself into their lives in countless ways.
Sherry had a servant’s heart and a home that was always open. She faithfully cared for her children, grandchildren, and extended family whenever they needed her. She never hesitated to provide a safe place, a warm meal, a listening ear, or a helping hand. For a season, she lovingly helped raise her grandsons, Michael and Matthew, demonstrating the selfless love and steady presence that defined her life. Her legacy is one of sacrifice, compassion, and unconditional love.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Charles William Pierce and Avis Harriet Lawson Pierce, who lovingly raised her and helped shape the woman she became.
Throughout her career, Sherry served in several roles, including working for the Tennessee Department of Corrections, serving as Cafeteria Supervisor at Harpeth Middle School, and spending many years as a respected leader in the customer service industry. She was known for her strong work ethic, leadership, and genuine care for the people she served.
Anyone who knew Sherry knew she had a wonderful sense of humor. She was quick with a joke, loved to laugh, and had a personality that could brighten any room. She was truly one of a kind—a woman full of life, strength, and heart.
Sherry took great pride in creating a beautiful home. Whether tending to her yard, decorating her house, or simply making everyone feel welcome, she created a place where family gathered, memories were made, and love was always present.
While her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her family rejoices in the assurance that she is now completely healed and at peace in the presence of her Lord. Her life was marked by love, resilience, generosity, and determination. Those who knew her will forever cherish her laughter, her unwavering devotion to her family, and the countless ways she made others feel loved.

Sherry’s legacy will live on through the family she loved so deeply and the many lives she touched along the way.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday 11 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM.
