Laura Sue Glenn Profile Photo Laura Sue Glenn, of Hanceville, Alabama, entered heaven on July 16, 2026, at the age of 76. Laura was born in San Antonio, Texas, on August 24, 1949, to the late Calrence Elton and Florence Joy Caldwell Wesley.

Ms. Glenn is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Katie McPhearson.

Laura’s memory will be cherished by her son, Edward Wesley Glenn (Dawn Leslie Frost); daughter, Alecia Brook Mitchell; sister, Dody Griffith; nephew, Mic Parker; and a host of loving family and friends.

Laura was a member of Clay Methodist Church where she worshipped her Heavenly Father with her family and friends, when her health allowed her to do so. She was a child of God, and she loved Him and His word.

Laura’s love for others was evident in her giving spirit and in the kindness she bestowed on all who knew her. Even in challenging times, Laura never complained about her circumstances. Laura continued to be a compassionate mother and good friend when others would have displayed a different attitude in similar situations. She was a very giving person, offering what she had to those in need.

Ms. Glenn was not only a mother and friend to many, but she was also a banker working for both AmSouth and Regions banks for more than forty years. Laura enjoyed swimming and shopping, and she adored cats.

Second only to her love for her Heavenly Father, Laura’s children were her passion. She adored both of her children, and she was an amazing mother to them. Both Eddie and Alecia have truly been blessed to have had Laura as their mother, and while she will be missed by her children and family, Laura’s legacy of kindness, compassion, and love will be remembered for generations to come.

Friends are invited to join the Glenn family for visitation on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m., in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services for Laura will follow visitation, begin at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Tim Evans officiating. Ms. Glenn will be laid to rest in Holly Pond Cemetery following services.

Holly Pond Funeral Home is honored to serve the Glenn family.
