Elma Mae Baggett, 91, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026, in Vina, AL. She was born in Alabama to John Isaac and Velma Upton Holland. She was a founding member of Pentecostal Faith Church. She worked at Rima Manufacturing in Hudson, Michigan, and later at Lance Garment in Red Bay, Alabama. She and her husband also enjoyed providing lawn care services to members of their community.
Funeral service will be Friday, July 17, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Massey and Bro. Ellis Hill officiating. Visitation will be Friday, July 17, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Baggett Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL, will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Baggett (Laura); her daughter-in-law, Wanda Baggett; five grandchildren, Jason Baggett (Jennifer), Beckee Nighbert (Rusty), Randi White (Chris), Anna Baggett, and Adam Baggett; eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Elvin Baggett; her parents; two sons, Randy Baggett and Arthur Baggett; an infant daughter, Linda Gail Baggett; six brothers and five sisters.
Pallbearers will be Chris Baggett, Nicholas Umfress, Chris White, Jason Baggett, Rusty Nighbert and Adam Baggett.
