Rosemary McInnis was born October 30, 1943, in Montgomery. Alabama and passed away on July 13, 1926, in Huntsville, Alabama. She is survived by her sisters, Martha McInnis and Ellen Williams (Richard); nephew, Miles Clayborn Williams (Tara); and great nephews, Miles and Walker Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, Miles and Rose McInnis and her nephew, Malcolm “Mac” McInnis Williams.
Rosemary was a beloved sister, family member and friend. She had a gentle spirit, was kind to all and loved her family and her many friends. She will be remembered for her compassion and loving heart and the joy she brought to her family and friends; Rosemary was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Alabama where she was an English Major. She began her teaching career in Montgomery before moving to Huntsville where she taught middle school English. After retiring from her teaching career, she did free-lance work as an editor and later began selling Real Estate.
She enjoyed cooking and entertaining. Her favorite dishes included fresh garden vegetables and handed-down southern recipes. She enjoyed gardening and had a special fondness for ferns and heirloom plants. Her pet dogs and cats, especially her terriers, brought great joy to her.
Rosemary was an avid reader. She was happiest spending time with her loved ones and reliving special memories. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A visitation will be held at Laughlin Service Funeral Home on July 25, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Montgomery at the McInnis Family Plot, Greenwood Cemetery.
