Logo Icon Miss Karen Denise Armstead was born October 4, 1967 to late Ms. Ella Mae Armstead.  She departed this life on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother Hubert Larry Armstead.   Karen was a devoted member of Cherokee C.M.E Church where she managed the ministry of music and also was a member of the choir.

She graduated from Cherokee Vocational High School in 1987. She was a loving sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to all that was in her presence. She loved fishing, dancing, and most of all Auburn Tiger Football “ War Eagle”. She absolutely adored all her nieces and nephews and was a mother to everyone of them. She couldn’t wait to babysit, watch them play, and even take them on a trip to Red Lobster.

 

She leaves to cherish her loving memory 8 siblings: Melvin(Carolyn) Armstead, Russellville, Al ; Terrell Armstead, Phoenix, AZ; Jerome (Sheree) Armstead, Kosciusko, MS;  Stanley (Kris) Armstead, Alexandria, VA; Barbaris Armstead, Sheila Minor, Tuscumbia, AL; April Armstead, Cherokee, AL; Valerie Stafford, Corinth, MS; 23 nieces and nephews, 31 great nieces and nephews, a host of cousins and friends, special friends Vicky, Precilla, Marcie and Jerry.
