Rena passed away on July 9, 2026. She was born October 10, 1930, in Oconee County, SC, daughter of the late Joseph V and Bert Hunsinger Dilworth.
She is survived by her sons, Ronnie Hamilton (Ann) of Birmingham and Richard Hamilton (Barbi) of Bowling Green, KY; four grandsons, Joshua Hamilton (Katy) of San Francisco, CA, Reid Hamilton (Lauren) of Birmingham, Price Hamilton (Ashley) of Dunwoody, GA, and Ross Hamilton (Kathryn) of Birmingham; eight great grandchildren, Carter, Charlie, Charlie, Luke, Jack, Virginia, Caroline, and Greer; and sister, Lalla Fowler of Walhalla, SC.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Clay Hamilton of Huntsville, Alabama. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruby Dilworth, Meta Neville, Nonnie Merett, and Helena Dilworth, and six brothers, JB Dilworth, Robert Dilworth, Zeddie Dilworth, Cecil Dilworth, her twin brother Ronnie Dilworth, and John Dilworth.
Rena was a member of First Baptist Church, Bowling Green, KY and a former member of First Baptist Church, Huntsville.
A private graveside service will be at Maple Hill Cemetery with Mike Pearce officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the Huntsville Botanical Gardens or First Baptist Church Bowling Green, KY.
