Joyce Valerie Carr Barton, age 95, ran into the arms of Jesus and reunited with the love of her life, Adrian, on June 11, 2026. She was affectionately known as Grandma by all who were blessed to know her. The laughter and love she shared with others will forever be missed.
She leaves behind her greatest treasure in life son Brian (April).
Grandchildren Jessica LeBarre (Kurtis), Alex Boyd, Taylor Phillips (Austin), Mitchell Boyd (Raleigh) and Andrew Barton (Sarah). Great-Grandchildren Levi LeBarre, Aniston Phillips and Bankston Barton.
Brian and April would like to thank Natalie Barton York, Lori Delaney,
all of Grandma’s “Sweet Peas” at Mitchell Hollingsworth Rehab, Southern Care New Beacon (Christine Vernon and Tammy Taylor you are ANGELS) and most importantly Amy Kerby who was the most wonderful Caregiver to Grandma in her final weeks. You all have been wonderful blessings and friends to Grandma and us!
A Celebration of Life will be July 12 @ 2:00pm Colbert Memorial Chapel, Tuscumbia, AL. Grandma has requested casual attire as her life is celebrated with Grandma’s Final Gossip given by Pastor Eric Brown, Pastor Daniel Delaney, and grandchildren.
