Wyman Anderson Gamble, Jr., age 88, of Smyrna, TN, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026.
Born on April 20, 1938, in Dade City, Florida, Wyman was the beloved son of Wyman and Matilda Gamble. Throughout his life, he was known for his deep faith, his devotion to family, and his generous spirit.
Affectionately known as Andy, Wyman worked as a Production Supervisor for 26 years at Firestone/Bridgestone and took great pride in his career and in providing for his family. Outside of work, he enjoyed bowling, traveling, and camping. He was also proud to be a Fourth-Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.
Wyman is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty Jean Gamble; his children, Tammy Bednarzyk and her husband, Dan, and Dionne Gamble; his grandchildren, Sarah Stewart and her husband, Brian, and Jenna Barry and her husband, Danny; his great-grandchildren, Skylar Stewart and Dakota Barry; and his sister, Phylis Naomi Danielson.
Mr. Gamble was preceded in death by his parents, Wyman and Matilda Gamble; his brother, John Mockabee; and his sister, Catherine Gutheinz.
A visitation will be held on July 21 at 10:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9100 Crocket Road, Brentwood, TN 37027.
Wyman will be remembered for his steadfast faith, his warm smile, his devotion to family and friends, and his remarkable gift for storytelling. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
