James “Jamie” Lawson Hamilton, age 40, passed away on July 2, 2026. He was born on September 20, 1985, to James Mika Hamilton and Mary Beth Ryan.
Jamie was a devoted father who cherished his children, Ariel Malone, Autumn Hamilton, and Piper Privett. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and creating lasting memories with those he loved.
He is survived by his parents, James Mika Hamilton and Mary Beth Ryan; his children, Ariel Malone, Autumn Hamilton and Piper Privett; his brothers, Michael Bates (Ally Germaine) and Sawyer Hamilton (Katie); his sister Taylor Hamilton Totten (Joseph); his uncle Gary McMeans; his aunt Jane Turner; his great-aunt, Kay Hobbs (Terry Pugh), along with numerous cousins, extended family members and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Linda and Wayne McCurry, Robert Hamilton, Doris and Harold Ryan; his uncles, Craig Hamilton and Robert Ryan; and his aunt, Kathleen McMeans.
Jamie will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and friends and for the memories and YouTube videos he leaves behind. Though his time on earth was far too short, his life touched many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will forever hold Jamie close in their hearts, finding comfort in the love, laughter, and memories they shared together.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for his close friends and family
