Phillip, 74 years old, passed away at his home in Rogersvillle, AL, after a long extended illness. He graduated from Rogers High School, Greenhill, AL 1970 and attended Miami Dade JR College flight school becoming a pilot.
Mr. Shannon was an inventor and owned several businesses over his lifetime including Shannon Transportation, Inc., Loadlox International, Inc. and Keith’s Radiator. He also worked as a plumber and many other maintenance jobs.
His favorite activities were outdoor fun sports on the water and land with his most memorable trip to Moab, Utah to ride the 4-wheeling trails with his buddies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldred Paul Shannon and Devona Dalphine Bassham Shannon.
He is survived by his sister, Laurel Ann Shannon Sewell (Dr. Milton Sewell); nephews, Scott Sewell (Amy), Shannon Sewell (Karen) and niece, Holly Sewell McCall (John) and great-nieces and nephews; one great-great-niece.
