HAZEL GREEN-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a sigle-vehicle accident that has taken the life of a Hazel Green man and sent one other person to hospital with injuries:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5 p.m. Sunday, July 5, has claimed the life of a Hazel Green man. Robby L. Richardson, 43, was fatally injured when the 1997 Chevrolet S-10 he was driving left the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Richardson was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Erin N. Coffey, 32, of New Market, who was a passenger of the S-10, was injured and was transported to Huntsville Hospital for medical treatment.
The crash occurred on Charity Lane near Frank Patterson Road approximately four miles northwest of Hazel Green, in Madison County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
