Darlene Ellen Hardeman, 74, of Sheffield and previously Cherokee, passed away Friday, June 26, 2026. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 5, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Kenneth Oldfield officiating. Interment will be at Riverton Cemetery, Cherokee.
Darlene enjoyed spending her time shopping, baking, and cross-stitching. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Stanley Hardeman; parents, Herbert and Edna Rickard; brother, Charles Rickard (Dixie); mother-in-law, Lillian Hardeman; and sister-in-law, Joan Parker.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel Hardeman (Susanna) of Birmingham, AL and Matthew Hardeman (Justin Philpot) of Birmingham, AL; sisters Bonnie Williams (Philip) of Sheffield, AL and Joyce Williams of Alabaster, AL; brother, Roger Renwick (Judy) of Florence, AL; sister-in-law, Kay Rea of Kelso, WA; grandchildren, Camron Hardeman and Dylan Hardeman; nephews, Brandon Williams (Missy), Jacob Williams, and Michael Williams; nieces, Halley Russell (Jacob) and Natasha Durham (Dustin); and great-nephews, Mason Durham, Noah Durham, Miller Williams, Oliver Williams, Braxton Russell, and River Russell.
The family will be serving as pallbearers.
