Susan McCord Chilton, age 71, of Columbia, South Carolina, formerly of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026.
Susan was born January 30, 1955, in Hohenwald, Tennessee, to the late Homsie and Ima Slate McCord. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Michael (Mickey) Chilton and a brother Dan McCord.
She is survived by her daughter Page Chilton (Lester Gulledge) of Columbia, SC; son Brad Powers; brother Jim McCord (Nancy); sister-in-law Gloria McCord; partner Steve Isaacs.
Susan spent her younger years growing up in Centerville, TN. She later moved to Lewisburg and there she met and married Mickey Chilton. Together they raised their children, Page and Brad. She worked at Teledyne Advanced Electronic Solutions in Lewisburg as the Human Resource Director and later moved to Columbia, South Carolina, where she lived until her passing. She was a light in the darkness and a friend to everyone she met. She will truly be missed by all.
Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, TN, on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 12:00 until 2:00 pm.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 2:00 pm at London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
