Funeral services for Mrs. Joann Sprayberry, age 87 of Delta, will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Ivan Fuller and Elder L. C. Harris officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Providence Cemetery.

Ms. Sprayberry passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at her home. She was born and raised in Delta, but lived the most of her life in the West Point and Conley communities in Georgia. She worked at Ft. Gillem Army Base in Atlanta, and for several bakeries, in which she bring home donuts after work. After moving back to Clay County, She became self-employed, doing custodial work for First State Bank for nearly 20 years. As a young child along with her brothers and sister, her family would play music and sing together at local churches throughout the community. She enjoyed going on Cruises with her sister, Geraldine, and being a jokester and playing pranks on her family and friends. Above all, she was a caring and loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.

Ms. Sprayberry is survived by 2 sons: Gary Sprayberry of Delta and Terry Harris (Angie) of Dawsonville, GA; her daughter: Sheila Wells (Mike) of Carrollton, GA; daughter-in-law, Martha Harris of Stockbridge, GA; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 sister: Geraldine Welch (Lamar) of McDonough, GA.; 1 brother: Ralph Moore of Delta and a large extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Willis and Eunice Sims Moore; her son, David Harris; and two brothers: Wayne Moore, and Charles Moore.

Active Pallbearers for will be Mac Brown, Tony Clements, Jimmy Clements, Tyler Brown, Seth Wilson, Jeff Welch, and Roger Harris.

Her Visitation for will take place on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville.
