TUSCUMBIA-Colbert County Tourism and the Alabama Music Hall of Fame invite the
community to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary with an unforgettable evening of
live bluegrass music, patriotism, and community at Red, White &  Bluegrass on
Thursday, July 9, at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame.

Featuring the sounds of JamTowne, Red, White & Bluegrass will showcase a talented
group of young Shoals area musicians who share a passion for preserving one of
America’s most treasured musical traditions. The band includes Dustin Young
(mandolin), Steven Smiley (dobro), Trey Terry (bass), Kaleb Hall (banjo), Carson Glass
(fiddle), and Liam Lawson (acoustic guitar). Together, they’re introducing bluegrass to
new audiences while honoring the rich musical heritage that has long defined The
Shoals.

Guests will enjoy an intimate evening of live bluegrass inside the Alabama Music Hall of
Fame, surrounded by the stories and legacy of the artists who helped shape America’s
soundtrack.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and music begins at 6:00 p.m.

The evening is part of Colbert County Tourism’s America250 celebration and will also
benefit American Legion Post 31, with proceeds supporting local veterans and the
organization’s community programs.

“One of the things that makes this event especially meaningful is seeing these talented
young musicians carrying on an important part of America’s musical heritage,”; said
Susann Hamlin, President and CEO of Colbert County Tourism. “As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, it’s fitting that we’re highlighting the next generation of musicians while supporting the men and women who have served our country. We hope families, friends, and visitors will join us for an evening filled with incredible music, community spirit, and hometown pride.”

For JamTowne guitarist Liam Lawson, the opportunity to perform as part of the
celebration is one the band is especially looking forward to.

“We’re honored to be part of this celebration," Lawson said.”Bluegrass has always
been about bringing people together, and that’s exactly what this night is all about.
We’re looking forward to playing some great music, celebrating America250, and
supporting our local veterans. We hope you’ll come spend the evening with us.”

Advance tickets are $10 and may be purchased online or in person at the Colbert
County Tourism office or the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. Tickets will also be available
at the door for $12.
