Dennis Windell Eubanks, 78 of Joppa passed away Friday, June 26, 2026, at his residence. He was born January 24, 1948, in Arab the son of Silas Alec Eubanks and Ozella Campbell Eubanks. A 1966 graduate of Arab High School, he later retired from Eaton. He honorably and courageously served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a devoted member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church and a loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his children: Tori Beasley, Jennifer Howard (Jonathan), Misty Caldwell (Daniel), Jonkristjen Eubanks (Heather) and Wendi Eubanks; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother: Ted Eubanks (Shirley); sister: Vickie Brooks (Edwin); special niece: Teresa Eubanks, as well as a host of other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Alec and Ozella Eubanks and a sister and brother-in-law: Sue and Guy Farr.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Michael Lackey, Brother Vann Moore, Brother Greg Stone officiating and eulogy by Randell Richards. The burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gober Funeral Chapel. He will also lie-in-state at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers to please make donations to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Shriners.
