William Thomas Norton, 97, of Ardmore, Alabama passed away peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2026, in Ardmore, Alabama.
He was born on Friday, December 28, 1928, to the late William Hubert Norton and the late Hattie Bolton Norton.
William lived in the Ardmore area most of his life and was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and taking care of his lawn.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents, as well as his wife of 53 years, Dolores Norton.
William is survived by two sons, Tom (Karen) Norton and Dudley Norton, two daughters, Debra Norton and Michelle (Jamie) Mitchell, three grandchildren, Danielle Norton, Rebecca (Logan) Stonecipher, and Jordan Mitchell, as well as one great grandchild, Leah Stonecipher.
There will be a visitation held for Mr. Norton at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM. A Chapel Service is scheduled to follow visitation with service time beginning at 2:00 PM. Bro. Jamie Mitchell is officiating the service. Burial will follow at Gatlin Cemetery.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
