Brad Allen Phillips, age 65, passed away on June 10, 2026, in Rainbow City, Alabama.Born on October 20, 1960, in Indianapolis, Brad was the son of James and Betty Phillips. He graduated from Warren Central High School and attended Ball State University before beginning a successful career in food and beverage management.
Brad later relocated to Birmingham after accepting the position of Food & Beverage Director for Inverness Country Club. Throughout his professional life, he discovered a passion for sales and held various positions within the industry, working with Budweiser, International Wines, Golden Flake, and ultimately retiring after successfully owning and operating BBU Inc.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, James and Betty Phillips.
Brad is survived by his sisters, Debbie Welcher (Chuck) and Marcy Gregerson; several nieces and nephews; his special childhood friends, Beth Campbell and Carolyn Lamb; his dear lifelong friend, Suna Underwood; and many cherished friends he made throughout his years in the South, including Bill Camp, Bill and Melanie Perry, Cindy Whiner, and countless others whose lives were touched by his friendship.
Brad will always be remembered for his warm smile, charming wit, generous spirit, and kind heart. He never met a stranger and had a remarkable ability to make those around him feel welcomed and valued.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Harshaad Patel, Dr. Elquis Castillo, and Dr. Mazen Hakim for their compassionate care and dedication.
A private celebration of Brad’s life will be held at a later date.
Brad’s memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved him.
