Kenneth Lamar Lacy, 70, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. Born in Leland, MS, on May 30, 1956, Kenneth was glad to call Oxford, MS, the home of his much-loved Ole Miss Rebels, his home.

Kenneth will be remembered for his love and devotion to family and friends. He was described by many as “the kindest man I have ever known”. To know Kenneth was to love him. His lifelong love of music was evidenced by his many years of ownership of Austin’s Music Store in Oxford. Other enjoyments in his life included NASCAR racing and anything related to SEC sports, most especially involving Ole Miss. He will be remembered as the “Donut Man” by his many friends and fellow church members at Hayseed Cowboy Church.

A great joy in Kenneth’s life was his family. His son, Austin, was a source of pride and spending time with his granddaughter was a joy. He loved family holiday times with his brother, Tim, his many nieces and nephews and their children.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Travis and Lucille Lacy, and his sister, Janet Monroe. He is survived by his son, Austin and his brother, Tim.

A celebration of life service is planned for Saturday, June 20, at 11:00 AM at Hayseed Cowboy Church, 11171 MS-6, Thaxton, MS.

In lieu of flowers Kenneth wished for donations to be made to his nephew’s ministry in Guinea Bissau, Africa, through Hope Remembered, 8761 Ashford Circle, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405, or online at hoperemembered.org.
