John Robert “Bob” Grace, age 76, of Madison, Alabama (formerly a resident of Albertville, Alabama) died at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, AL on June 7, 2026 after a very short illness. Bob grew up in Albertville, AL and lived there the majority of his life. He graduated from Auburn University with a degree in accounting. He met the love of his life, Bethann Sadler Grace, at Camp Sumatanga. They raised their daughter in Albertville and later moved to Madison to be near their daughter and grandchildren. He loved Auburn football, classic cars, and being with friends and family.
He is survived by his daughter, Robin Grace Maise (Andrew); grandson, Cliff Butler; granddaughter, Kate Butler; sister, Linda Grace Jones; brother, Bill Grace (Bill Dosch); and nieces and nephew Beth Brashier (Jason), Laura Jones, and David Jones (Julie).
Bob was preceded in death by: his wife, Bethann Sadler Grace; parents, Grady F. Grace, Jr. and Vanera Bishop Grace; sister, Ruth Grace Burke; and nephew John Burke.
Bob was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church, and at his death, he was an active member of Madison Methodist Church.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, June12, 2026 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:30am-noon, followed by the funeral at noon. Rev. Dave McKinney and Rev. Barry Dunn will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Family and Friends. Bob will be laid to rest at Memory Hill Cemetery.
