Mrs. Judy Ann Venable, age 80, of Crow Mountain, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
A lifelong resident of Jackson County, she lived a life marked by faith, love and service. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, she shared God’s love through her kindness, generosity, and steadfast commitment to those she held dear.
Mrs. Venable is survived by her daughter, Seleeta (Danny) Watson; son, Jason (Tricia) Venable, and Eric (Melissa) Venable; grandchildren, Blake (Sabrina) Venable, Carly Venable, Audrie (Cory) Smith, Riley (Hannah) Watson, Emma Venable, Matthew Venable, and Madilyn Venable; great grandchildren, Holden Smith, Brighton Marie Venable, and Elowyn Joyce Venable; sister-in-law, Irene Paradise, Brenda Perry, and Pat Selvage.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Venable; parents, Clay and Mary Lou Paradise; and brothers, Jimmy Paradise and Ronnie (Martha) Paradise.
The family will receive friend Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Arnold officiating. Burial will be at Skyline Cemetery.
