With grateful hearts for a life well lived, we celebrate the life of Rhoda Echols who passed away on June 4th 2026 at the age of 99.
Rhoda spent her life bringing joy, kindness, and laughter to everyone she met. She built a life centered on faith, family, friendship, and making others feel welcome.
Whether tending her garden, gathering family around the table, serving her church and community, and creating traditions that will continue for generations, Rhoda had a gift for loving well.
Rhoda is lovingly remembered by her family as follows
Children: Tessa Smith, Peggy Chambers, Gerald (Jackie) Echols and Eddie (Kim) Echols. Grandchildren: Danielle (Roy) Poe, Kristy (Wayne) Day, James (Kathy) Coker, Ray (Wendy) Echols, David (Stephanie) Chambers, Brian (Brenda) Echols, Stephen (Emily) Echols, Amanda Echols. Great Grandchildren: Alexa (Patrick) Kelly, Haylee (Nathan) Waddell, Raelynn Coker, Chelsey (Kevin) Schmale, Chase Laney, Christian Echols, Chandler Echols, Jackson (Hannah) Chambers, Camilla Chambers and fiance -Tyler DeWaard, Dalton (Maria) Echols, Hannah Echols, Gabe Echols, Thomas Echols. And a host of great great grand children.
She was welcomed into heaven by (Husband) James Eugene Echols and (Son) Eddie Echols.
Funeral services will be Sunday, June 7th at 2:00 P.M. at Hanceville Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Riverside cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday June 6th from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Hanceville Funeral Home.
