Born on September 9, 1941, in Hickory Flat, Mississippi, Mrs. Elsie was the daughter of the late Earnest and Lania Shoffner Minor. Following high school, she furthered her education through college studies before beginning a career that spanned more than thirty years as a dedicated bookkeeper for Danny Lindsey at Lindsey and David Tax Office.
A Christian woman of unwavering faith, Mrs. Elsie was steadfast in her beliefs and found daily comfort and strength through reading her Bible. Her life was centered around caring for others, especially those she loved most. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her beloved grandchildren, Hunter and Lania, who were truly the light of her life. She was a devoted grandmother who cherished every moment with them and loved them beyond measure. She also shared a special bond with her dear friend and caregiver, Brittany Gross, whose love, friendship, and faithful care meant so much to her through the years.
Though her loving heart, vibrant spirit, and joyful presence will be missed more than words can express, her family finds peace in knowing that she is forever healed, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her, and rejoicing in the eternal splendor of her Heavenly Home.
Those left to cherish her precious memory include her son, John Broyles; one sister, Opal Wilkerson; one brother, Jimmy Minor; two grandchildren, Hunter and Lania Broyles; her special caregiver and friend, Brittany Gross; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Elsie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmy Broyles.
